How to Use Flour Fortification Technology
Food fortification is very popular in many flour mill plants in the world as an economic, effective and sustainable nutrition improvement method. As for different flour qualities; processing methods and nutritional status of different people, the fortification is slightly different, flour fortification means the process of adding minerals, vitamins and other trace elements to flour, thus people can get the most part of nutrition matter from the basic foods.
There are basically two sorts of fortification system: Batch Blending System and Continuous Fortification System. These two systems are equipped by most of the flour mill plants for the purpose of adding brighteners and other food additives, the progresses and results are different and we are going to check that out:
Continuous Fortification System: Add trace elements in the feeder which is above the conveyor belt; activate the feeder; adjust the amount of trace elements in accordance with the flour flow rate (manual control or computer control), the trace elements and flour are mixed on the conveyor, in the lifter and test sieve.
Batch Fortification System: Set the amount of flour in the blending tank and the four flow rate of blending bin, the system would stop the feeding when the flour amount reaches the set value; add the premix to flour and make sure they get well mixed. From the result of a test on both systems, the mixing uniformities has achieved the desired standards, both of them have good performance in the flour fortification progress.
