Structure of Manual Oil press

The hand crank manual oil press is mainly composed of frame, pressing, driving and heating part. For environmental protection purpose, you can use a used PET bottle as the feeding and collecting device.

Requirement of Oil seed for Manual Oil Press

• The best moisture rate of seed is from 8% to 10%. If the moisture content is too low, the oil cake will be too hard to have oil yield. If the materials is too wet, the oil cake will flows back to the oil slide and there will be no oil production, either.
• There is no need to shell the seeds unless they are groundnut, walnut. But the kernel should accord with our recommendation.
• The stones, sticks, and sand must be removed from the seeds.

What kind of oil seeds can be processed by manual oil press

• Moisture contents of the seed should be 8-10%. If the oil seeds are too dry, the oil cake in the cap would be stone hard and no oil production. If the oil seeds are too moist, the oil cake flows back to the oil slid and no oil production would be get.
• No deshelling required except for groundnut, walnut. But the kernels would be recommended for our manual oil press.
• Seeds should be freed from any stones, sticks and sand before pressing.

How to assembly manual oil press

• Remember to tighten the frame and make sure the crank can be turned freely ahead of time.
• Lubricate the washer with edible oil and insert the screw shaft in press cage through the small end.
• Screw on the press cage cap and terminal adjustment bolt.
• Attach crank arm to the screw shaft and tighten the bolt.
• Fill fuel(kerosene or alcohol) to the lamp bottle up to 80%. Pass a 15cm wick through the washer.
• Put the wick in the fuel bottle and leave 0.5cm outside. Place washer at the bottleneck and the lamp under the press cage. Fasten the lamp with rubber band.

Matters need attention when expelling

• Make sure the raw materials is free from impurities or foreign matters before feeding them into the manual oil expeller. The seed should be dried to 4-5% moisture content.
• Rotate the crank slowly at about 45 rounds per minute to let the oil flow evenly to the outlet. Clean the outlet every few minutes.
• As the oil expeller start work, it’s normal if some oil flows out from the adjustment bolt.
• Loosen the adjustment bolt if the oil cake is too dry or the rotating resistance is too strong.
• Tighten the adjustment bolt if the oil residue in the oil cake is too much.
